Society registered and accredited Breeders Here is a list of all Breeders currently registered and accredited with TUS. All breeding stock owned by them are hip scored and eye tested prior to being used, and will only be used if the results of such are acceptable. Boycie, Momtaz’ son is also now standing at stud and has sired a lovely litter earlier this year. - Dawn has been involved in the breed since 1999 and owned Utonagan since 2000. She has had four beautiful litters from Kioko, Haska and Nuaka, with Luca used as stud. - Breaches of the BCE may result in breeders’ expulsion from the Society. Breeders who have been, but are no longer, listed here have either left due to refusal to follow the TUS BCE, or occasionally have been expelled for breaches in the Breeder's Code of Ethics while still members of TUS. Once a breeder leaves TUS we cannot vouch for their reputability as we no longer have any input on whether they health test their stock; whether they only breed from healthy dogs that test clear for ALL conditions; whether they breed from dogs too closely related; whether they breed too often from the same bitch, or any other dubious practises.

- They are of course not ALL bad breeders, but we strongly recommend that you vet any Utonagan breeders not listed above very rigorously.

- Many people still follow out-dated and sometimes, frankly, deleterous breeding methods, but will not accept that these cause serious health problems for the dogs they breed. Hence why the below list of non TUS registered breeders is much longer than those we recommend. Perhaps with the current debates on canine genetic health more people will begin to agree with our insistance on no line-breeding or inbreeding? Time will tell.
