A BANNED wolf-dog breeder has fled her farm leaving 18 pups for dead
Nadia Carlyle quit the kennels after being exposed by the Sunday Mail for trying to sell her specially-bred animals for £600 each. Her sudden departure also came after she was accused by a farmer of letting a fully grown Utonagan husky-cross - a rare dog bred to look like a wolf - escape to savage a prize sheep worth £5000. The incident was reported to police but no charges were brought. Carlyle left Hillbank Kennels, near Hurlford, Ayrshire, last Tuesday leaving a note which said: "Please look after the dogs".
A neighbour who found the dogs said: "This is absolutely outrageous. These pups are in a terrible condition. "There are 18 puppies to feed and groom and clean up after. "I can't explain how angry I am - she's done a runner and I'm left to clean up the s***, literally." John Young, 69, who owns Skerrington Mains farm where the sheep was killed, believes the wolf-dog - which ran off after the attack - is still a massive risk to livestock. He said: "It completely savaged the sheep. If I'd hadmy gun I'd have shot it on the spot. "Once they get a taste of blood they'll always attack again. It's just a matter of time." Disgraced Carlyle had been banned from selling dogs after being found guilty of four charges of animal cruelty. At her trial in Gloucestershire, a judge said the living conditions of her dogs were "indefensible". But last week she offered to sell an undercover Sunday Mail reporter a Utonagan puppy for £600. After moving to Scotland to carry out her vile trade she changed her name to Paige Summers - a porn star who died of a drugs overdose in 1993. SUNDAY EMAIL
